Festival Buku Islami (FBI) is the book component of Festival Turath Islami Selangor (FTIS). Introduced for the first time in 2025, FBI was envisioned as a space where individuals and families could engage with ideas through books and discover meaningful works.
FTIS was initiated by the Selangor State Government in 2023 to revive and bring the treasures of Islamic Turath closer into contemporary life.
To reconnect contemporary audiences with the Islamic intellectual tradition and its relevance in our lives.

The Book Guide Corner is a guided reading initiative developed as part of Festival Buku Islami. Many visitors arrive at a book festival without knowing where to begin. Some are unfamiliar with the books. Others are interested in diving deeper.
The Book Guide Corner provides a welcoming point of entry into the festival. Through conversation, visitors are introduced to books, ideas and reading pathways connected to the festival theme.
The visitors can also independently explore further the book market guided by the book tags. They will find vendor selected books with those tags throughout the booths
